More PSK31 signal trace samples

This page demonstrates a range of non real-world signal traces, generated by Milt W8NUE using either direct RF injection, or soundcard to soundcard methods.

They are provided purely for interest and information - but the closer we can get to these, the better!

Figures 1 and 2 show the resulting trace when Milton W8NUE's Kenwood TS440 (Dell Optiplex with on-board sound) transmitting, and Elecraft K2 (and Toshiba 435CDS with on-board sound) receiving.

Figure 3 shows a typcial trace when no rigs are involved (i.e. no RF), and is achieved by connecting two computers together, sound card to sound card.

Figures 4 and 5 are also a direct soundcard to soundcard configuration, and demonstrate the effect that overdriving the soundcard input level can have on signal quality.
